COREWARD is free, and it stays free. You open the page and you play. These are the few things that are worth writing down anyway — what you may do with the work, what an account is for, and what is promised in return, which is honesty rather than uptime.
SANSOFT — Bancsó Péter e.v., Győr, Hungary. info@sansoft.hu. By using COREWARD you accept what is written here and in the privacy notice.
Run it in your browser at the address where it is published, for personal use, as much as you like. Show it to anyone. Take screenshots and share them.
COREWARD is a protected work. Its source code, engine, 3D models, textures, artwork, interface design, texts and generated material are the intellectual property of SANSOFT — Bancsó Péter e.v., protected under Hungarian copyright law (1999. évi LXXVI. törvény) and the corresponding EU directives. No part of it may be copied, reused, modified, decompiled, redistributed, republished or built upon — not a file, not a routine, not an image, not a section of the design — without prior written permission.
That the code reaches your browser in order to run is not a licence to keep, study or reuse it. The absence of copy protection is not permission: a browser game is delivered to the browser in full, of necessity. Permission is a fair question, not a closed door — write to info@sansoft.hu.
Some parts are not the owner's and are not covered by the above. They keep their own licences, which take precedence: the sky comes from the HYG database (CC BY-SA), the rendering from three.js (MIT), the planets from the NASA Exoplanet Archive, and the ship model is a third-party commercial asset that is not redistributable through this project. The full list is in the LICENSE file that ships with the source.
You never need one, and you never will: every star, every planet, the whole sky is open to anyone who opens the page. An account unlocks one single thing — having a description and a surface view generated for an object.
What is asked of you in return is small and obvious. Use your own address. Do not use the generator to produce material that is unlawful, hateful, or aimed at a person. Do not automate it, and do not try to work around the limits on it — it costs real money per request, and a single account burning through that budget takes it away from everyone else.
An account that does those things can be closed without notice. You can close yours at any moment, by writing to info@sansoft.hu; it is deleted with everything in it.
A description or a surface view belongs to the object, not to the person who asked for it. Once written it stays, and everyone who visits that object sees it. It is machine-written from public astronomical data and may be wrong; where a figure is measured rather than inferred, the game says so on the panel itself.
If you give something through the support page, it is a voluntary contribution and buys nothing: no locked object, no faster ship, no advantage of any kind. Nothing is delivered in return, so there is nothing to refund — but if you gave by mistake, write within fourteen days and it goes back, no questions asked. Payment itself is handled by PayPal under PayPal's own terms.
The software is provided as it is. It runs in a browser, on hardware the owner has never seen, and it may be unavailable, lose a saved state, or behave differently on your machine than on any other. No warranty of any kind is given, express or implied, and the owner is not liable for any claim, damage or loss arising from the software or its use, to the extent the law allows. Nothing here limits liability for damage caused intentionally, or to life and health.
If any of this changes, the date at the top changes with it; continuing to use the game after that means the new text applies. Hungarian law governs, and the courts of Hungary have jurisdiction. If you are a consumer in the EU, the mandatory protections of your own country's law are untouched by that sentence.
